Cooling Unit Sizing Table for Le Cache Wine Cabinets

The following guidelines are designed to help you select the correct CellarPro wine cooling unit for your Le Cache wine cabinet, based on the Thermal Load BTUH. If you need assistance understanding the charts, please don't hesitate to contact us by phone, email or live chat(a).

CellarPro 1800QT-HE Our quietest cooling unit, the 1800QT-HE is designed for residential applications, and requires the cabinet to be located in a temperature-controlled environment (not to exceed 75°F). Designed to maintain 55°F in all Le Cache wine cabinets.

CellarPro 1800XT-HE The 1800XT-HE cooling unit is recommended for most wine cabinets that will be placed in restaurants, commercial environments and difficult conditions – such as garages and basements – and non-conditioned environments that range from 40°F to 95°F. If ambient conditions will drop below 40°F, a compressor heater (sold separately) must be added to the cooling unit.

CellarPro 1800XTS-HE The 1800XTS-HE cooling unit is powerful enough for use in properly-constructed custom wine cellars. It also can be used in Le Cache wine cabinets that require extra cooling power. An additional charge of $200 will apply.

We provide the estimated thermal loads for Le Cache wine cabinets across a range of ambient temperatures to help you select the appropriate CellarPro wine cooling unit for your wine cabinet. The tables are shaded to show which cooling units in the 1800 Series will and will not work given the thermal load derived from the size of the cabinet and the ambient temperature.

Assumptions regarding restocking and opening/closing of the doors are appropriate for residential applications. If the wine cabinet will be placed in a commercial environment, the thermal load will be higher, so CellarPro's 1800XT-HE is recommended.

(a) To calculate the approximate "run time" over a 24-hour period, divide the thermal load (based on the average ambient over the 24-hour period) by the BTUH. For reference purposes, the calculated BTUH at 55°F for Breezaire WKC1060 is 1054 and Breezaire WKC2200 is 1328.
