TEMPERATURE & HUMIDITY CONTROL
BILD 1200 Wine Room Black (P/N 36788). Build your walk-in wine cellar with advanced CellarPro temperature and humidity control, wood wine racking for 1,194+ bottles, light and lock for under $8 per bottle.

Construction: Shipped unassembled, BILD wine cabinets feature durable melamine laminates on all exterior surfaces and thermal and UV protection, with each panel framed and insulated using high-density foam.

Racking: BILD wine racks are made from solid wood, and slots are sized with 3 3/4" slots to accommodate oversized bottles. Racking for 480 bottles is located on the left and and on the right wall, with a walkway down the middle for easy access. In addition, 20 cubic feet of bulk storage space exists atop the racks, providing storage for up to 240 Bordeaux-size bottles, or for oversized bottles like Magnums and large Champagne bottles.

Refrigeration: Advanced CellarPro cooling units provide digital temperature and humidity control inside the wine cellar. BILD wine cabinets include a 3200VEi cooling unit.

Ventilation: The cooling unit is rear vented, meaning that the cooling unit's intake and exhaust will occur on the rear wall of the wine room, and requires 4-6 inches of clearance behind the cooling unit.

Ample clearance behind the cooling unit is necessary for proper air circulation, and the location must be sufficiently large for the hot air generated by the cooling unit to dissipate.

BILD wine rooms should not be placed in environments that exceed 95F or fall below 50F. Door must be locked to ensure an airtight seal.

BILD wine rooms and cabinets require assembly. All assembly hardware is included with your purchase.

Placement Requirements

PLACEMENT REQUIREMENTS

POWER REQUIREMENT:
The cooling unit plugs into a standard wall outlet, and the outlet should be on a dedicated circuit. The components of the cooling unit draw 7.7 amps. The cord extends 10 feet from the back of the cabinet. If an extension cord is used, it should be 14-gauge wire or thicker, grounded, and as short as possible. We recommend using a surge protector rated at 15 amps or more. Under no circumstances should the wine cabinet share a circuit with another motor or compressor-based appliance, like a wine cooler, fridge or air conditioner.

FLOOR SURFACE:
The floor where you'll be placing the cabinet must be completely flat. Because of the significant weight of your wine cabinet, it is important that you consider the weight load factor of the floor as compared to the weight of the cabinet.

WEIGHT LOAD FACTOR:
After loading your wine cabinet with wine bottles, it will be extremely heavy. When selecting a location for your cabinet, make sure that the floor underneath is strong enough to support the weight of the cabinet plus the weight of the bottles (approx. 3600 lbs. assuming 1200 bottles).

TEMPERATURE REQUIREMENTS:
CellarPro cooling units are designed to handle temperatures ranging from 50 to 95F.

VENTILATION REQUIREMENTS:
The cooling unit generates hot air that must be exhausted in such a way that it won't be recirculated by the cooling unit. If the hot air cannot be dissipated or channeled properly, and the cooling unit is forced to recycle its own hot air, the cooling unit will be unable to maintain cold temperatures inside the wine cabinet and/or will overheat and/or will run all the time.

The cooling unit is rear vented, meaning that the cooling unit's intake and exhaust will occur on the rear wall of the wine room, and requires 4-6 inches of clearance behind the cooling unit.

Ample clearance behind the cooling unit is necessary for proper air circulation, and the location must be sufficiently large for the hot air generated by the cooling unit to dissipate.

ASSEMBLY REQUIRED:
BILD wine rooms and cabinets require assembly. All assembly hardware is included with your purchase.

Bottle Capacity

BILD 1200 racking is located on the left and right walls for easy access, with storage capacity as follows:

  • 480 bottles in 3-3/4 inch individual slots on each wall.
  • 20 cubic feet of bulk storage space atop the racks, perfect for up to 240 stacked Bordeaux-size bottles, or for oversized bottles like Magnums and large Champagne bottles.

Additional storage for stacked cases is available on the floor, and is not included in the figures above.
